This post is about second hand shops.
Itt Angliában a használt tárgyak boltját, jótékonysági boltnak (charity shop) nevezik.
Here in England the second hand shops are called charity shops.
Jótékonysági boltok: Ezek a boltok használt ruhát, játékokat, némelyik bútorokat árul. A bolt nevében benne van, hogy a bevételből milyen csoportot támogatnak. A Cancer Research például a Rákos megbetegedések kutatására, az Age UK idős embereket, a Cats protection macskákat és stb.
Charity shops: These shops sell second hand clothes, toys, and some of them furniture as well. The name of the shop refers to which group they support from the shop's income. For example Cancer Research supports to research cancer illness, Age UK supports elder people, Cats protection supports cats.

Ezek a boltok ugyanúgy néznek mint egy átlagos bolt, nem feltétlenül lehet elsőre felismerni, hogy "Aha, ez egy charity bolt". Persze, ha az ember elkezd ilyen boltokba járni, már messziről kiszúrja ezeket :)
These shops look similar than any other shops, for the first time you cannot recognise "Yes, this is a charity shop". But of course, if you like charity shops, you can spot them from miles away.
Jó minőségű ruhák/tárgyak/bútorok lelnek itt gazdákat, néha még a címke is benne van a ruhákban. Mi vettünk már itt ruhákat, könyveket 1 fontért, bútort azért nem, mert véleményem szerint a British Heart Foundation használt bútorai túlárazottak. De egy próbát megér azt is megnézni rendszeresen.
Good quality clothes/objects/furniture can find their owners, sometimes the label is still on the clothes. We bought clothes, books for a pound, we did not buy any furniture because I think furniture in British Heart Foundation are over priced. Of course it worth a try to check them regularly.

Ezeket a ruha darabokat is charityben vettem még 2010-ben, azóta is hordom őket.
