When we came to UK, we did not know what food we can eat here. We have gained so much FOOD experience during this 4 years, so that will be the topic for today.
Emlékszem, az első évben egyáltalán nem próbálkoztunk étterembe menni, féltünk megkóstolni más kultúra ízeit. Hiszen itt Angliában, sok más nemzet ételeit is meg lehet kóstolni, nem csak az angol konyhát. Például indiai, kínai, japán, mexikói, olasz, spanyol, thai stb.
1 év után, viszont egyre jobban kinyíltunk és elkezdtünk éttermekbe járni, főképp All you can eat, azaz "Annyit eszel amennyit akarsz" éttermekbe. Ezáltal lehetőségünk van többféle ételt megkóstolni, hiszen annyit és abból eszünk amit akarunk, egy adott összegért.
Sok bejegyzést láthattatok már az éttermi látogatásainkról, ezeket most összefoglalom. Kékkel látod azoknak az éttermek neveit, amire ha rákattintasz, megjelenik a régebbi bejegyzés az adott étteremről.
I remember in the first year we did not even go to restaurants, we were afraid of trying different flavours. Here in England you can try different nation's food, not only British, such as Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Italian, Spanish, Thai etc.
After 1 year we have started to open towards different cuisines and tried many restaurants, mainly All you can eat types. On this way we had the opportunity to try several types of dishes because we can eat as much as we want for a set price.

May Sum (Derby)
Ez volt az első étterem amit kipróbáltunk, egy kínai büfé étterem. Nagy előnye, hogy van-e teppanyakis pult ahol egy külön szakács élőben egy nagy grill lapon megsüti amiket összeválogatsz. Hátránya az étteremnek az, hogy 4 éve úgyanúgy néz ki, semmit sem javítanak az éttermen.

Wing Wah (Burton On Trent)
A May Sum után ez volt a másik kínai étterem amit kipróbáltunk. Sokkal nagyobb és minőségibb mint a May Sum, csak ez Burton-On-Trent-ben található. (20 perc kocsival Derbytól) Jó minőségűek az ételek, vannak előételek, főételek, grillezett ételek, teppanyakis és egy elég nagy desszertes pult.
After May Sum this was the second Chinese all you can eat type of restaurant we have tried. It is much bigger and better than May Sum, although it is situated in Burton-On-Trent (20 minutes by car from Derby) The dishes are good quality, you can find starters, main courses, bbq dishes, teppanyaki and a big dessert section.
This photo has been taken in Chapel-En-Le-Frith, in the local Chinese restaurant. I have ordered seafood as usually and Norbi ordered a Chinese dish with vegetable and beef.

Wasabi (London)
Wasabi az egyik kedvenc éttermem, akármikor Londonban járunk kötelező program. Imádom a sushit, a tengeri kütyüket, a japán konyhát. Bárcsak lenne itt Derbyban is egy ilyen japán gyorsétkezde, azt hiszem mindennap ott ennék. :)
Wasabi is one of my favourite restaurant, whenever we go to London, this is an essential program. I love sushi, seafood and Japanese cuisine. I wish to have a restaurant like this here in Derby, I guess I would eat there every day.

Szintén ez az egyik kedvenc éttermem. Egyszerűen imádom, mindennap mennék ha tehetném :) Mindig friss és nagyon finomak az ételek.
This is also one of my favourite restaurant. I just love it, if I could I would go every day. :) Food is always fresh and really nice here.

Ez volt az első alkalom, hogy Thai étteremben jártunk, Norbi kollégáival mentünk el. Nem nagyon tudtam mit válasszak, hiszen nagyon sok étel volt az étlapon. Előételnek rendeltem egy rákos ételt, ami ropogós tésztába volt belecsavarva és ehhez volt szilva szósz, plusz egy kis saláta. Főételként pedig egy tengergyümölcsei ételt kértem rizstésztával és zöldségekkel.
This was the first time when we went to a Thai restaurant with Norbi's colleagues. I did not really know what to choose because there were so many dishes on the menu. I ordered a king prawn starter which was rolled in crispy pastry and there was a plum sauce with it and a bit of salad. For main course I ordered a seafood dish with glass noodle and vegetables.

Jimmys World Grill Bar (Derby)
Ha ázsiai étterem, akkor mindenképp Jimmys. Megtalálható az indiai konyha, mexikói, japán, olasz, kínai, angol mindenféle. Ez is egy Annyit eszel amennyit akarsz étterem, ami nagyon jó hiszen így mindenből lehet enni. Kedvenc ételeim az indiai Chicken (csirke) Tikka, Chicken Korma, a Paneer-os ételek (a paneer egy indiai sajt), és a kínai sülttészta marhahússal és csirke hússal.
If we want to go to an asian restaurant we definitely go to Jimmys. They have Indian food, Mexican, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, British etc. This is also an all you can eat restaurant which is great because on this way we can taste different dishes. My favourite Indian food is Chicken Tikka, Chicken Korma, dishes with paneer (this is an indian cheese) and Chinese stir fry with beef and chicken.

Voltunk párszor ebben az étteremben, írtam is róla blog bejegyzést, de rájöttünk, hogy nem a legjobb étterem. Ha ázsiai ételre vágyunk, a Jimmys messze veri a Cosmo-t. Jó étterem, de a Jimmys jobb :)
We have been in this restaurant couple of times and I have also written a blog post about it, but we have realised this is not the best restaurant. If we are fancy for asian food, we rather go to Jimmys. This is a good eatery but Jimmys is better.

Erről az étteremről nem írtam külön blog bejegyzést, pedig muszáj megemlítenem. Az étterem a belvárosban található a katedrális mellett. Az épület nagyon régi, lásd a képen. Ahogyan a második képen is látszik, épp pár asztal van az étteremben, elég kicsi, habár ezenkívül van még egy terem de gondolom azt akkor használják ha nagyon tele van.
I did not write a blog post about this restaurant but I have to speak about it. It is situated in the city centre next to the cathedral. The building is really old, see on the first picture. As you can see on the second picture there are only couple of tables as this is a small restaurant however there is another room as well but they possibly open it when they are really busy.

Nagyon finom volt minden fogás, csak kicsit drágáltam az éttermet hiszen £60 fizettünk kettőnknek (ez tartalmazta a desszertet is amit nem fényképeztem le). Az étterem honlapjáért kattints ide.

Erről sem írtam külön bejegyzést. Zizzi az egyik legfelkapottabb olasz étterem Derby-ban, nem véletlenül. Kb 2-3szor voltunk eddig és mindig jót ettünk. Első alkalommal ettük ezt a baconos, spenótos sajtos tejszínes tésztát ami azóta felkerült az itthoni étlapunkra is, elég gyakran esszük.
I did not write a blog post about this either. Zizzi is the most popular Italian restaurant in Derby, for a reason. We have been there 2-3 times and we always ate really good food. First time we had this creamy pasta with bacon, spinach and cheese, since then we have it on our home menu as well, we eat it quite often.

Ez a kép akkor készült amikor a kollégáimmal elmentünk a Zizzibe. Az a hatalmas pizza mind az enyém volt, pizza mániásként ennek nagyon örültem. A feltét marhahús, saláta és sajt. A margherita után ez a másik kedvenc pizzám.

Pizza Express (Derby)
Pizza Express-be is szoktunk néha járni, hiszen itt is mint a Zizziben elfogadják a Tesco klubpontokat. Pár hónappal ezelőtt volt egy húsgombócos előételük, amit azóta levettek az étlapról, de valami isteni volt. Ezt is mint a Zizzis tésztát felvettük az itthoni menübe és előszeretettel fogyasztjuk, most már itthon.
Sometimes we go to Pizza Express because as well as in Zizzi they accept Tesco Clubcard points. Couple of months ago they had a meatball starter which was amazing, but unfortunately they took it off from the menu. Just as the pasta from Zizzi we put this starter onto our home menu which we eat quite often.
