Last Thursday the landlord from Scotland called us that he found someone to move in to the flat. He asked if it is possible to go and pick up all our stuff on the weekend...
Örülünk, hogy talált valakit, mert így nem kell szeptemberig kifizetni a lakbért, de kicsit későn szólt. A fiúknak egy napjuk volt találni egy teherautót, ami minimum 4 személyes, hiszen mindannyian menni akartunk. (lengyel srác vezetett, jött a barátnője, plusz mi ketten). Elég nehéz egyébként is egy nap alatt teherautót találni (megtapasztaltuk már párszor) főleg egy több mint 4 személyest.
We
are very happy that he found someone so we do not have to pay the rent until
September, but it was a little bit a short notice. The guys had one day to find
a van big enough for 4 people because all of us wanted to go (the
Polish guy was the driver+ his girlfriend, Norbi and I). It is very difficult
to find a van in one day not even a 4 or more seater one.
Egész napos
keresés után végül találtak egy 6 személyes nagy, platós teherautót. Általában
a normális „kicsi” 3 személyes teherautók £50-60 kerülnek egy napra, de
ez most máshogy volt. A srác a boltban azt mondta, ha szombat fél 1-ig
visszavisszük a kocsit, akkor £95, ha nem érünk vissza, akkor a kocsi marad
hétfőig és összesen £210 kerülne...
They
were looking for a van on the whole Friday and finally they could find a 6
seater one with a tipper. Usually the normal, „small” 3 seater van costs
£50-60 for a day, but this situation was different. The shop assistant
said if we will take back the van until 12.30 on Saturday it costs £95, if
not then we can have the van until Monday and it will cost £210....
Mivel a lengyel
lány 5ig dolgozott ezért csak utána tudtunk elindulni. Este 6 körül sikerült
elindulnunk Skóciába. A lengyel fiú nagyon régen vezetett utoljára, de nagyon
ügyes volt. Az utunkat megnehezítette, hogy borzasztóan esett az eső,
sötétedett és, hogy dugó volt sok helyen. Éjfélkor még mindig 1 órányi
távolságra voltunk Auchterardertől, amikor úgy döntöttünk megszállunk egy út
melletti hotelben (Days Inn) 4 főre kértünk árajánlatott, amire a recepciós
srác azt mondta 110 font..... Ezt nagyon drágáltuk 4 óra alvásért, ezért a
kocsiban aludtunk egymás hegyén hátán. Mondanom sem kell nem aludtunk túl
sokat.
We
could departure at 6pm because the Polish girl was working until 5. The Polish
guy has not driven for a while but he did very well. We had some difficulties
during the trip: there was a very heavy rain, it was getting dark and there was
some traffic jams. At midnight when we were still one hour far from
Auchterarder we decided to stay in a hotel (Days Inn). We got an offer 110pounds for 4 people per
night so we decided to sleep in the van. I have to tell you we could not sleep
much.
4.20-kor keltünk,
hogy 5.30-ra odaérjünk a lakáshoz. Rengeteg papírt kellett aláírnunk, addig a
lengyel barátaink elkezdtek bepakolni a kocsiba. Ahogyan írtam egy régebbi
bejegyzésben a főbérlők nagyon kedvesek voltak, de akkor szombaton mintha
megváltoztak volna. Először is levontak £150 a kaucióból, mondván
mindketten 6 órán keresztül takarították (£12.50/óra) utánunk a lakást...
Mondanom sem kell, nem hagytuk koszosan a lakást. + £20 levont a 2 havi
karbantartásért + £100 mert stresszt okoztunk nekik. Persze, nem így terveztük, hogy 2 hónap után otthagyunk mindent, tehát érthető a részülről, de nem gondoltuk volna, hogy ennyi pénzt le fognak vonni. Nagyon
kiakadtunk de nem volt mit tenni. Így is kaptunk vissza még £230 a
foglalóból, szóval ennek is örültünk. Persze, hatalmas megnyugvás, hogy nem
kell egy üres lakásért havonta £500 fizetni Skóciába, meg még az itteni
albérletet is. De akkor is.
We woke up at 4.20 am so we could
be at the flat for 5.30am. We had to sign loads of paper so our Polish friends
started to put everything in the van. As I wrote in a previous post the
landlords were very nice but on that Saturday they changed. Firstly they
deducted £150 from the deposit because both of them had to clean the flat
for 6 hours (£12.50/hour).... Of course we did not leave the flat dirty. +
they deducted £20 for the 2 months maintenance + £100 because of stress. Of course it is understandable because we did not plan to leave just after 2 months but we did not think they will deduct that much money. We were very angry but we did not want to do anything. We
got back £230 from the deposit so we were happy that we could get back
some money. Of course we are so happy that we do not have to pay the rent for
an empty flat in Scotland plus where we live now. But still.
Nem akartunk
vitatkozni velük, csak elszabadulni amilyen gyorsan csak lehet, hiszen az idő
sürgetett minket. Kb. 45 percet töltöttünk a faluban, aztán indultunk is haza.
5 és fél óra alatt hazaértünk, hát nagyon nagy hajsza volt az idővel.
We
did not want to argue with them just to pack as soon as possible and get back
to Derby. We spent 45 minutes in Auchterarder and came back. We travelled 5 and
half hour back so it was a very tight schedule.

Elmondani nem
tudom mennyire hálásak vagyunk a lengyel párnak. Először is befogadtak minket, + elvittek minket Skóciába. Nélkülük ez nem ment volna.
We
can not tell how gratefull we are for the Polish couple. First of all they
accomodate us, and then took us to Scotland. Without them we could not make it.
Másnap rendet
tettünk, próbáltuk kidobni amire nincs szükségünk, de így is sok cuccunk
maradt. Szerettünk volna venni egy textil szekrényt, de nem találtunk a
környékén normális áron. Ezért építettünk egy kartondoboz szekrényt. Már egy
hete áll, reméljük nem esik össze :)
Next day we selected our stuff and tidy up. We wanted to buy a light weighted fabric wardrobe but we could not find a proper one with a proper price. That is why we built a cardboard box wardrobe. It is still okay after a week, I hope it will not collapse. :)

Még múlt héten
megkaptam a fizetésem a hoteltől (havonta van fizetés), úgyhogy innentől
lezárom ezt a korszakát az életünknek. Még 3 bejegyzést tartogatok Skóciáról
aztán vége. Nem bántuk meg a döntéseinket, hiszen sokat köszönhetünk Skóciának,
de nem volt egyszerű része az életünknek.
Last
week I got my salary from the hotel (they pay monthly) so I close this part of
our life. I want to write 3 more posts about Scotland and that is it. We did
not regret our decisions because we could get lots from Scotland but it was not
an easy period.
