Solomon Templom- Buxton/Solomon's Temple- Buxton

Ahogyan említettem kb. 2 hete mászkáltunk Buxtonban és környékén. Először bemutattam a Cseppkőbarlangot (kattints ide a bejegyzés elolvasásához), ma pedig bemutatom Solomon Templomját.
As I mentioned earlier, about 2 weeks ago we were wandering in Buxton and its surroundings. Firstly I introduced the Limestone Cave (click here to read the post) and today I will show you Solomon's Temple.

A "templom" a Cseppkőbarlang felett helyezkedik el, kb. 5 perces séta hegynek felfelé. A templomot Solomon építette az 1890-es években közpénzből, ezzel munkát adva a helyi munkanélkülieknek. 1998-ban helyreállították a tornyot, ezt láthatjuk ma is.

The temple is located above the Limestone Cave, and it is about 5 minutes walk uphill. The temple was built by Solomon in the 1890s paid by public subscription to provide work for unemployed people. In 1998 the tower was restored, that is what we can see nowadays.

Sajnos a képek nem adják át teljesen a látványt, de élőben lenyűgöző volt.
Unfortunately the photos do not give back the beauty of the landscape, but it was amazing.

A torony magassága 6,1 méter, és semmi más nincs benne csak egy lépcső, ami felvezet az első szintre, ahonnan gyönyörű látvány tárul Buxtonra és a Peak District egy részére. (Forrás- Angol nyelvű)

The height of the tower is 6.1 metre and it does not contain anything other than a staircase to the top, where there are good views over Buxton and parts of Peak District. (Source)

Az a kis piros pötty a képen én volnék. Az első képen a háttérben Buxtonban, a második képen pedig a Peak District egy része.

That little red dot is me on the picture. On the first picture you can see Buxton in the background, and on the second picture you can see the part of Peak District.
