A mai bejegyzésben arról szeretnék írni, hogy mit és hol tudunk megvásárolni Angliában a kiskutyánknak.
In today's post I would like to speak about what and where to buy for your puppy in England.

Az ezelőtti kutyusos bejegyzésben meséltem, hogy semmilyen kutyás cuccunk nem volt, mikor Poppy beköltözött hozzánk. Annyira hirtelen történt minden, időnk nem volt utánanézni, hogy mit és hol kell venni a kisprücsöknek.
Otthon Magyarországon mindig is volt kutyám, de ők nem jöhettek be a házba. Úgyhogy nekem ez az első, hogy a kutya velünk él bent a lakásban. Tehát eddig ebben nem volt tapasztalatom.

As I have mentioned it in the last post about our puppy, that we did not have any stuff for Poppy when she moved in to our house. Everything happened so quickly, we did not even have time to check what and where to buy.
At home in Hungary I always had dogs but they were not allowed to come into the house. This is the first time when I live with a dog. So I do not have any previous experience.

Tehát az első és később bebizonyosodott a legjobb játékok az itthon talált dolgok. Például lyukas zokni, régi pulcsi, squash labda, majd később tenisz labda, ajtótámasz és minden ami csörög-zörög (műanyag dobozok, palackok- amit persze nem sokáig rághat, mert aztán lenyeli).
Az abszolút kedvencei az a két maci, amit még anno az utcán találtunk, valaki kidobta őket.
Amúgy játékokat lehet venni Tescoban, Sainsbury'sben, Wilkinsonban és a TK Maxx, Morrisonsban, Pets at home-ban, Amazonon stb.

So the first and later on we figured out that the best toys are the ones what we found in the house. For example holey socks, old jumper, squash ball, later on tennis ball, doorstop and everything which is clinking clanking (plastic boxes, bottles- which of course she cannot chew for a long time in case she swallows it).
Her absolute favourites are the two bears what we have found on the street ages ago, as somebody binned them.
You can buy dog toys in Tesco, Sainsbury's, Wilkinson, TK Maxx, Morrisons, Pets at home and on Amazon.

Első utunk tehát a Pets at home nevű boltba vezetett, ami a mai napig lenyűgöz minket. Barátságosak az eladók, a kis kutyus szabadon mászkálhat a boltban- hiszen van egy állatorvosi rendelő és kutyakozmetikus is az épületben, sokféle termék van, olcsó és drága cuccok egyaránt megtalálhatóak.

So firstly we went to Pets at home which still amaze us. The customer assistants are very friendly, our little puppy can walk in the shop because there is a veterinary and a grooming salon within the same building, also there are lots of product, you can find cheap and expensive stuff as well.

A Pets at home-ban sokféle ehető játék van, ezekből szoktunk vásárolni. Van rizsprotein (csont alakú), zöldséges "fogkefe" protein és agancs is. Mindegyik jó kiskutyának is, Poppy nagyon szereti ezeket. A fogkefe és a csont kb £0.70-től kezdődik, az agancs £4 mérettől függ. Az agancs elérhető Amazonon itt, rizsprotein itt, a fogkefe pedig itt.

There are many types of edible toy, we always buy some of these. There are rice protein (bone shaped), vegetable "toothbrush" and antler as well. All of these are suitable for puppys also, Poppy really loves them. The toothbrush and the bone starts from £0.70 and the antler is from £4, depending on the size. Talán a legnagyobb dilemma a kiskutya kaja volt. Nem tudtuk melyik márka, milyen típusú (száraztáp vagy konzerv) étele lesz jó Poppynak. Mielőtt elhoztuk volna az ezelőtti gazdijától ő megmutatta, hogy mivel etteték, de nem voltunk benne biztosak, hogy mi is azt szeretnénk adni neki.

Elsőként kipróbáltuk a Caesar kutyakonzervet (£0.70/100g), ami jó volt, de kicsit drága. Ezért próbáltunk olyat keresni ami kicsit olcsóbb és multipack-ban van. Így jött a Pedigree konzerv(£0.60/400g), majd pedig később a Morrisons saját márkás kutyakonzerve majd a Pets at home saját márkás terméke. Mindegyik jó volt, kivéve a Morrisons-os. Maga az étel is büdös volt és a kutya is azzá vált tőle és valahogy Poppynak sem tetszett.

The biggest dilema was about the dog food. We did not know which brand and what type of food (dry food or wet food) will be suitable for Poppy. Before we brought Poppy home, the previous owner told us what she fed Poppy with, but we were not sure if we want to give the same food for her.
Firstly we tried the Caesar wet food (£0.70/100g), which was good, but quite expensive. Therefore we tried to find something cheaper in a multipack. So we bought Pedigree wet food (£0.60/400g), then Morrisons' own branded food and then Pets at home own branded food (£0.53/400g). All of these were good, except the Morrisons one. The food stunk and even Poppy became smelly from it, she did not like it at all.

Pár hete bukkantunk rá az eddigi legjobb minőségű, tökéletes kutya hamira, a Wainwrights-ra. Vettünk száraztápot (£3.75/1kg) és konzervet (£1.10/400g) is, ezt a kettőt mixeljük és naponta 3-szor eszik, kis adagokat. Nagyon szereti, szerintem egész nap azt várja mikor ehet megint :) Nem a legolcsóbb kutyaétel, de csak természetes anyagokat tartalmaz, barna rizst, húst (ami lehet lazac, csirke, bárány vagy pulyka), körömvirág, alga, napraforgó olaj, répa és vitaminok. Ide kattintva megnézhetitek a konzerves kiskutya ételt és az összetevőket is, itt pedig megtaláljátok a többi Wainwright termékeket is.

Couple of weeks ago we found the best quality dog food, it is called Wainwright. We bought dry food (£3.75/1kg) and also wet food (£1.10/400g), we mix the two and feed Poppy 3 times a day with small portions. She really loves it, I think she is waiting all day for the next time when she can eat again. :) It is not the cheapest puppy food but it only contains natural ingredients such as brown rice, meat (salmon, chicken, lamb or turkey), marigold, seaweed, sunflower oil, carrot and vitamins. Be kellett szereznünk tréning pad-ot a kiskutyának, ami addig kell amíg nem lesz teljesen szobatiszta. Már egy pár hete külön szól (ugat, sír, ugrál) ha ki kell mennie, de még nem teljesen szobatiszta. A tréning pad elérhető szintén a Pets at home-ban £23/56 db ártól, de most az Amazonon 100db £22.34 itt.

Also we had to buy training pads until she will not become housetrained. Since couple of weeks she tells us (barking, crying, jumping) if she wants to go out, but she is not fully housetrained yet. The training pad is available at Pets at home from £23/56pc, but now it is £22.34/100pc on Amazon here.

Kellett vennünk nyakörvet és pórázt, amit szintén a Pets at home-ban vásároltunk, de ugyanúgy megtalálható a Tescoban, Sainsbury'sben, Wilkinsonban és a TK Maxxben is.

Itt Angliában kötelező névtáblát rakni a kutyára. Lehet kétoldalút választani, egyik oldalán a kutyus neve, a másikon pedig a címünk + telefonszámunk van rajta. Itt tudsz rendelni olyat amit mi is vettünk.

We had to buy collar and leash which we also bought in Pets at home but you can also find them in Tesco, Sainsbury's, Wilkinson and TK Maxx.

Here in England dogs need to wear a name tag. It could be two sided, so the name of the dog is on one side, and our address and telephone number is on the other side. You can order similar to what we bought here.

A kiskutyának először a Pets at home-ban vásároltunk kiságyat (sajnos az árára már nem emlékszem), de azt elég gyorsan kinőtte. Ezután a TK Maxx-ben találtuk meg a következő fekhelyét, ami £13-ba került. Imádja, mert nagyon kényelmes, de ahogyan a képen is láthatod, lehet lassan meg kell vennünk a harmadik kiságyát is, ugyanis ezt is kifogja nőni.

We bought Poppy's first bed at Pets at home, but she grew it out quite quickly. So we went to TK Maxx to buy her next bed, which cost £13. She loves it as it is super comfy, but as you can see on the picture we might have to buy the third bed because she will possibly grow out this one as well.

Külön kiadás ha a kiskutyának veszünk kisállatbiztosítást. Mi úgy döntöttünk, hogy egyelőre nem veszünk neki, majd meglátjuk később.
Extra cost is to buy pet insurance for your dog. We decided that we do not buy it for Poppy for now but we might buy it later.

Ennyi jutott most eszembe, remélem tudtam adni pár ötletet, hogy mit és hol vegyünk a kiskutyánknak.
