I thought to write a blog post about girly things like contraceptives and period. Obviously I will not speak about them in depth, just I want to help you how things are going in England.
Amikor kijöttem úgy gondoltam, ugyanazok a termékek találhatóak meg itt is mint otthon. Hatalmasat tévedtem. Sok olyan termék, ami otthon kapható például hajfestékek, krémek, tampon, betét, itt nem volt. Mostanában kezdtek el nyitni a nagyobb szupermarketek. Majd egyszer ha lesz időm összegyűjtöm milyen krémeket, hajfestékeket nem lehet itt kint kapni. Természetesen ez alól London kivétel, mert szerintem ott mindent lehet kapni.
When I came to UK I thought I can buy all the products like home. Of course I could not. There are many products like hair colour, creams, tampons and pads what I could not buy here. Nowadays bigger supermarkets started to sell international products. If I will have time I will collect those creams, hair colours what you cannot buy here. Of course London is an exception because I guess you can buy everything there.
A menstruációs téma annál inkább idegesítő volt. Azt gondolom egyik nő sem szereti azt a hetet, és a legjobb túlleni rajta problémák nélkül. Amikor kijöttem nem hoztam magammal semmit, hiszen gondoltam O.B. van mindenhol. Itt a tampon választék a Lil-lets, a Tampax, NatraCare, Trinket + a szupermarketek, drogériák saját márkás tamponjai, betétei.
Buying stuff for period is more annoying. I think none of the women like period, so it is the best to get over with it without any problems. When I came to UK I did not bring anything with me, because I thought I can buy O.B. everywhere in the world. In UK there are tampons like Lil-lets, Tampax, NatraCare, Trinket and the supermarkets', and drugstores' own products.
Először a Tampaxot vettem meg, nagyon sok helyen láttam, reklámozva is volt. Belinkelek egy videót arról, hogy még az O.B. és a Lil-Lets széltében tágul, mint ahogyan a nők is, a Tampax hosszanti irányban.... Annyira rosszul lettem tőle, hogy haza kellett rohannunk az első alkalommal. Ezt nem azért írom le, hogy most valaki rosszindulatoskodjon, amiért leírom a saját tapasztalataimat, csak segíteni szeretnék. Tamponoknál lehet választani applikátoros és nem applikátoros közül. Firstly I bought Tampax, because it was advertised a lot, and I saw it everywhere. I put a video below about that O.B and Lil-lets expand width wise as women do, but Tampax expand length wise... I was very sick from it, we had to run home straight away. I do not write this down because I want to see malicious comments on my blog, I just want to help with my experiences. A másik amit próbáltam, az a NatraCare. Drágának mondanám, de csak természetes anyagokból áll, ezért elméletileg jobb mint a "műanyag" tamponok. Beszerezhető bioboltokban, Waitrose-ban, Amazonon. Tamponoknál lehet választani applikátoros és nem applikátoros közül, és emellett még betéteket/tisztasági betéteket is forgalmaznak. The another product what I tried is NatraCare. It is expensive but it contains only natural ingredients that is why is better than other tampons/pads. You can buy it in Bio/Organic shops, Waitrose and Amazon. There are tampons with or without applicator, and you can also buy pads and pantyliners. Their website is: http://www.natracare.com/. On their website their is a store list, you can buy NatraCare in Hungary as well but it is too expensive.
Lil-lets is like O.B. but I have no experience about it. There are tampons with and without applicators, and they also sell pads and pantyliners. Their website is: http://www.lil-lets.co.uk/
Trinket is another company who sells tampons. It is interesting that you cannot buy Trinkets in shops, they deliver it to your home. You can order tampons on their website, and they will deliver it to you through your mailbox periodically. You can cancel or change the delivery and product any time. Contraception is another very important thing. Firstly you have to register to the GP (General Practise) and ask for contraceptive. The GP will ask general questions about your health, he/she will measure your blood pressure and ask what kind of contraceptive you want. Regard to my age she offered contraceptive patch, contraceptive injection which can be given in every month, every 2-3 months or half a year, and contraceptive pills. When I heard injection I chose pills immediately. I have heard earlier that contraceptives are free of charge in UK but I did not believe it. But it is true. You do not have to pay anything for it. You can get it for 6 months, but if you want to change you can do it anytime.
A recept két oldalból áll, az egyik amin az adatok vannak, és a gyógyszer adatai (ez marad nálunk), a másik oldala, az ahol be kell x-elni, hogy ingyenes fogamzásgátló szerről van-e szó, vagy például van-e bármilyen kedvezményre jogosító dolog (munkanélküliség, diák, nyugdíjas stb) A kedvezmény azért fontos, mert itt magáért a receptért £7 valamennyit kell fizetni
Frissítés 2016.05.22: már £8.40-be kerül a receptet kiváltani. Erről több információt az itteni egészségügyi szolgáltató (NHS) weboldalán találsz.
Az első recept felírását követően elég az orvosi rendelőt felhívni, megírják a receptet és csak fel kell venni a recepcióról. Felteszek két képet a receptről (saját kép), így remélem jól látszik amiről beszélek.
The receipt has two sides. On the first one there are all data about the medicine and the personal details (we can have this side of the receipt), the another side is where you have to put X if you were prescribed for contraceptive or for example you are full time student, unemployed etc. These discounts are important otherwise you have to pay £7 something just for the receipt.
Update 22.05.2016: you have to pay £8.40 for a prescription. You can find more information this on the NHS website.
After the first receipt of the contraceptive it is enough to call the medical centre, ask for more contraceptives and then just pick it up from reception. You can see two pictures below so hopefully you can clearly see what I am talking about.

Amit először nekem felírtak az nem volt jó, ezért pár hónap múlva írtak egy másikat. Ez a gyógyszer otthon nem kapható, a neve Microgynon. Már több mint egy éve használom és jó.
The contraceptive pill what I got first was not good so after couple of months I changed it to another. The name of the pill is Microgynon, you cannot buy it in Hungary. I use it almost for a year and it is good.
Az egyetemen, és szerintem College-ban is nagy hangsúlyt fektetnek a védekezésre, ezért ingyen lehet kapni óvszert, és az iskola nővértől szintén lehet iratni fogamzásgátló tablettát.
The university and I think Colleges as well highlight the importance of contraceptives, that is why we can get free condom, and we can ask receipt for contraceptives pills from the uni's nurse.
Intim mosakodóból otthon a Lactacyd femina a legismertebb. Itt nem kapni Lactacydot, csak Femfresh-t.
In Hungary Lactacyd femina is the most famous intimate wash. You cannot buy Lactacyd in UK, but you can buy Femfresh.
