Yesterday I got an e-mail from a restaurant manager of a 5 star hotel, from Scotland. We applied for a job in November, and they wrote me now. I replied that I am available on Monday all day so it would be great for a telephone interview. Today I woke up, that they called me to make an interview...
Most leírom azt a pár kérdést amit tőlem kérdeztek:
- Mit tudok a hotelről?
- Meséljek magamról
- Mik a feladataim az egyetemi rendezvényeken?
- Mik voltak a feladataim az előző munkahelyen (Holiday Inn)?
- Miért hagytam ott az előző munkahelyemet?
Here are the questions which were asked from me:
- What do I know about the hotel?
- Some information about me
- What are my tasks on the functions in the university?
- What were my tasks in my previous job? (Holiday Inn)
- Why did I leave the previous job?
Ezek után kérdéseket várt, ilyenkor legalább 3-5 kérdést illik feltenni a cégről (hotel/étterem). Az én kérdéseim a következőek voltak:
- Hova és milyen pozicióra keresnek embert?
- Mennyi az (óra) bér? Megmondhatják órabérben, heti bérben, havi bérben, vagy akár x hónapra amennyire szól a gyakorlat. Szerződéses, nem gyakorlati munkáknál általában egy évi fizetést mondanak meg
- Hány órát kell dolgozni?
- Hány szabadnap van egy héten?
- Extra költségek: szállás, étkezés, mosás
- Fizetik-e az utiköltséget a hotelig?
Kicsit még kómás voltam, mert épp akkor ébredtem, de azt gondolom jó volt az interjú.
After those questions 3-5 questions are recommended to ask about the company (hotel/restaurant). My questions were the followings:
- Where and what kind of job can they offer?
- How much is the salary? (per hour/week/month/exact period/year)
- How many hours do I have to work?
- How many day off will I get?
- Extra costs: accommodation, food, laundry
- Does the company pay the travelling costs?
I was a little bit surprised when I got the call, because I just woke up, but I think it was a good interview.
A telefonos interjú és a normál interjó között az a különbség, hogy a itt a munkáltató nem lát, csak hall. Tehát a hangoddal, beszédstílusoddal kell megnyerned. Nyílván ha agresszívan reagálsz, szlengeket használsz, az nem tesz jó benyomást. Telefonos interjú alkalmával (csakugyan mint a normál interjúnál) ha nem tudsz angolul az az első másodpercben kiderül. Amíg egy rendes interjú alkalmával használhatod a testbeszédet, olvashatsz a másik ember szájáról, az telefonon keresztül nem lehetséges.
The difference between the normal and telephone interview is, that the employer cannot see you just hear you. So you have to impress with your voice and speech style. Obviously if you speak aggressively and use slang words it does not make a good impression. In both types of interview if you cannot speak English they will notice it after 1 second. While you can use your body language, and read about the other person's mouth on a face-to-face interview, through telephone it is impossible.
Tehát a tanácsom az, hogy bármilyen munkáról is legyen szó, bármilyen interjú keretein belül, tudj az adott cégről alap információkat, tudj kérdezni minimum 3-5 kérdést, mosolyogj és beszélj kedvesen, nyugodtan.
Ha nem értesz egy kérdést kérdezz vissza nyugodtan, és ha nem tudsz példát arra az adott kérdésre, akkor azt mond el mit tennél abban a szituációban.
My advice is when any types of interview occur about any job you have to know some basic information about the company, be able to ask 3-5 question, smile and speak kindly and calmly.
If you do not understand a question, just ask to repeat it, or if you do not know any example for a question, just say what would you do in that situation.
